In september 2003, upon request of one of his owners, he left Paris for the south-east of France and set up a racing yard in the Calas training center.
Owing to the experience acquired with the greatest belgian professional trainers such as Robert Waterloos, Henri Van Pee or the Franco yard, he became a rigorous, enthusiastic and determined trainer, but above all someone who loves what he does for a living.
He trains an average of 70 horses with a work force of 20 people who help him daily to bring the racehorses entrusted to him by their owners to their best level. He believes in seasonal race meetings and regularly attends both the Vichy and Cagnes-sur-Mer ones.
With over 1000 wins and 2000 places and some splendid memories such as Hit the line, Lighted Rainbow, Petit Versailles, Starine or Ozone Béré, this outspoken and good natured man loves nothing more in life than « his horses », as he himself calls them. |
